EDIT: Worked on her anatomy.
Thanks to *navate who helped me see what was wrong :)

A new painting in Photoshop 7 that was a little more experimental than my usual stuff.
Normally, I tend to do a lot of planning and concept sketches, but here I started with just the face on a brown background, using a reference photo from CosmoGirl.
The background consists of mostly textured brushes in different layers set to various modes such as "soft light", etc. I've rarely done stuff like this before and it was fun :D

She is Helen of Troy, in the background the burning town.

Go see the close-ups :)

Beautiful skin tones! And the background is superb. Her bottom half looks a little off. Maybe the hips are too narrow?

Beautiful and eloquent... though it looks like the head is a bit too big for the body.

The city is afraid of me. I've seen its true face.

Contests are cool.

Yes, I think her head is too big and her hips/curves need to be more apparent. Otherwise, good job. ^^

Fabulous colors, Would be a true masterpiece with some adjustment on her anatomy (head size, arms length and body curves)
